ABSTRACT

Perry Hoberman is a 3D performance artist and inventor who has created stereoscopic moving images for art gallery installations and museums since 1982. He is currently an associate professor of Interactive Media at the University of Southern California (USC) School of Cinema and Television and for the past few years has been teaching classes in stereoscopy and stereoscopic production. Hoberman is also a vocal and very active proponent of “Do It Yourself’ 3D and has written articles and originated several unique solutions for both hardware and software applications to create “desktop” stereoscopic movies that are practical and cost effective.
