Pixels are the building blocks of video and Photoshop. Think of each pixel as a very small floor tile and Photoshop lays the tile down for you. Each tile can be one of

16.7 million solid colors, in a 24-bit image. These tiles are all the same size and rec-

tangular, and you can see this with a magnifying glass. If the tiles are small enough,

then your eyes will see an image.
