ABSTRACT
Many alcoholics, unfortunately, suffer with borderline personality disorder and a certain degree of psychopathy. This means that they have difficulty maintaining close relationships with other people; they distance themselves emotionally, and then alternate this with becoming annoyingly dependent; and they are not trustworthy because their conscience is unintegrated.
