ABSTRACT

The information given by Lactantius and Jerome is corroborated by the work itself from which doubtless Lactantius and Jerome obtained it. As a matter of fact, it comes out in § ii, 3, and xxviii, 3, that Minucius was practising the calling of an advocate. He calls himself Marcus Minucius Felix (cf. III, 1; V, 1). From his own testimony (I, 4; V, 1), he had been a pagan for a long time, and then he was converted.
