ABSTRACT
The UK higher education has been attracting increasing numbers of international, non-EU students. The growth in non-EU student numbers calls for a review of our approach to the relationship with the students, where possible, reaching out and engaging the students in the academic transition to the new learning and teaching context (Pringle, Fischbacher & Williams, 2008).
