ABSTRACT
IN rural Turkey the focus of life is the agricultural village. It is here that more than two-thirds of the Turkish population live and produce an agricultural output accounting for two-fifths of the national product of Turkey. Through a study of these agricultural communities, one can expect to unravel some of the dynamics of rural development in Turkey.
