ABSTRACT
This chapter aims to deepen understanding of resistance to state crime in a democratic context by examining the history of Community Legal Centres (CLCs) in Australia. Drawing on over 50 interviews with CLC workers and volunteers, it explores how this vibrant community law sector has challenged state crimes in many guises over a continuing history spanning 40 years.
