ABSTRACT
Cloe Madanes used to advise trainees of the following hierarchy of intervention, “Keep them alive, keep them coming, solve the problem.” This remains the emphasis of strategic therapy, although the model has advanced in its understanding of alliance building, client feedback, and intervention.
