ABSTRACT

Collaboration can be defined as a process that enables groups of people with diverse expertise to combine their resources to generate solutions to problems over a period of time.1 Collaborative teaching is sometimes referred to as collaborative consultation, cooperative teaching, co-teaching, team teaching, team-based services, teaming or community of practice. Inter-agency cooperation is dealt with in Chapter 26. This strategy relates to the context component of the learning and teaching model outlined in Chapter 2.
