ABSTRACT
The central argument of this book has been that vulnerability needs to be acknowledged as a complex set of issues rather than simply a process of individual weakness or limitation. In this short final chapter we will seek to summarise key aspects of this argument and its implications. In the first section of the book we sought to locate vulnerability in its theoretical (psychological and sociological) and policy context. Key themes from this section are as follows.
