ABSTRACT
During the glorious 30-year period of the supremacy of the American economy, a Japanese miracle was dawning. Although the USA was able to maintain its world economic leadership, in the 1990s, Japan became the second largest economy in the world. Unlike the European miracle of the sixteenth century, the Japanese miracle was not based on international trade and explorations of unknown territories, although they did occupy Korea and Taiwan.
