ABSTRACT

As we’ve seen in the struggles of previous chapters, m-learning is difficult to define in a meaningful way. Everything learning but with personal electronic devices creates a framework for shared understanding, but tells us little about the transformation we’ve seen in informal, just-in-time, and personalized learning brought on by mobility of devices. The negative space in shared understanding of a just-in-time learning shift is the reason this book is necessary, and for those of us seeking to create meaningful learning experiences with mobile devices, the book has arrived none too soon.
