ABSTRACT
Asia is a very diverse region. In terms of history, political economy, endowments, growth patterns, and current development, different subregions of Asia exhibit wide disparities. This diversity makes for an interesting study of how Asia responds to economic and political challenges and how alternative ideas are given space.
