ABSTRACT
Strategy answers two questions: “Where are we going?” and “How will we get there?” Deceptively simple, these questions are very difficult to answer within a complex community setting. This chapter introduces Strategic Doing, a new discipline for developing and implementing strategy in loosely connected groups. As a form of community visioning, Strategic Doing provides a discipline that can help community development practitioners guide communities as they create new strategies for development.
