ABSTRACT

Digital interactive games deliver powerful and engaging experiences that can motivate and support behavior change. When well designed, they can influence players’ attitudes, emotions, self-concepts, self-confidence, social interactions, risk perceptions, knowledge, and development and rehearsal of skills, all of which can contribute to changes in behavior (see Ritterfeld, Cody, & Vorderer, 2009; Vorderer & Bryant, 2006).
