ABSTRACT

Immediate or inter-generational families experiencing second-order guilt, fear, and grief based on a traumatic death of a feared or disliked but key family member. It is contraindicated for grieving traumatized individuals so close in time to the original trauma that therapy would be premature until adequate safety and trust are established.
