ABSTRACT
Recent analyses have focused attention on the effects of climate change on malaria, suggesting the possible spread of malaria into areas currently free of the disease. The goal of this book is to present the contextual determinants of malaria, including climate and climate change, and to attempt to understand their relative importance to malaria risk. In this chapter, we summarize our findings, focusing on the factors that influence the present and future geographic distribution of malaria.
