ABSTRACT
Countries in the northeast Atlantic region have been setting the pace in comprehensive ocean zoning outside marine protected areas, as we have seen in the previous chapter discussing the United Kingdom's efforts, and as will be further demonstrated in this chapter detailing other European marine spatial management initiatives.
