ABSTRACT
Chapters 12-14 form the conclusions of this book. This chapter summarizes the case studies of Part II. It draws out the lessons learned in the different countries, and the interactions between the policies applied and the structure of the power market. Chapter 13 analyses the big questions that this book raises, including the interaction between environmental and in particular climate policies and the liberalization of the electricity market; and it considers how pressing is the need for harmonization or convergence of European policies. Chapter 14 sets the broad conclusions of this book.
