ABSTRACT
These are the underlying principles that determine ethical research relationships; they can be divided into those that underlie any equitable relationship (eg self-determination, resource rights) and principles that guide practical fieldwork and ownership/dissemination of results (eg PIC, confidentiality, transparency, benefitsharing).
