ABSTRACT
The long tour through the eight regions is complete. Its value has been to demonstrate their richness and diversity: not only in terms of their different ways of functioning, but also in the very specific policy responses, nationally and regionally, to the planning challenges they present. In this final chapter, we must return to the attempt to generalize.
