ABSTRACT

When discussing water management, we should distinguish between water resources, on the one hand, and water and wastewater services, on the other. Yet, they are closely interlinked. After water is used for community or other purposes, it is discharged via sewerage and wastewater treatment systems to downstream watercourses, which, again, are sources of other users. Therefore, the quantity and quality of water resources are of utmost importance to suppliers and users.
