ABSTRACT
Technology comprises the processes, equipment, substances and procedures that are put into practical application for the benefit of society. Technology transfer for environmentally sound technologies includes both technology and know-how, and organizational and managerial procedures. 2 This implies that human resource development and local capacity-building should also be addressed for technology transfer to be successful.
