ABSTRACT
Recent research, through a series of ingenious experiments, has once again demonstrated the acute intelligence of the very young. They show powers of reasoning, perception and observation that are powerful and impressive. This should give us even more reason to explore what goes on inside young people’s minds. Despite this we rarely listen to pupils, let alone hear them and let alone act on what we hear.
