ABSTRACT
The final part of this volume truly demonstrates the depth and breadth of 15 years of interdisciplinary research by the scholars of GEIG. We met, yearly, not to demonstrate the superiority of one argument or one line of research over another, but simply to learn from one another, and to better understand how one's work fits with that of others in different disciplines. The common ground remained the quest for respect for ecological and biological integrity.
