ABSTRACT
The intersection between human rights and the environment is a chaotic and contested terrain. For many international human rights lawyers, it can best be mapped by clarifying new ‘rights to the environment’, such as rights to clean air and water, and a minimum standard of health. Whether such rights can ultimately be justiciable is a matter of debate.
