ABSTRACT

This chapter comprises two sections. First, it briefly sketches international environmental law, focusing on environmental human rights, and considers various roles for an ombudsperson function. In addition, the chapter provides both a legal and situational overview of local legislation in Ghana on enforcement of environmental law and the available mechanisms for dispute control and settlement.
