ABSTRACT
An environmental policy is a short written statement of intent which sets out your organization's position on the environment and is consistent with the scope of its EMS. It is the driver for both initial implementation and ongoing improvement of the EMS. It reflects top management commitment and is the foundation for internal and external communication and the setting of objectives and targets which define the implementation and running of the EMS.
