Conclusion: The Conjuncture of Scenarios and Causal Textures – Contributions and Progress

In Chapter 2 we overviewed the history of scenario work and of causal texture theory as a way of framing the material in this book. The 12 chapters that followed made important contributions to moving forward the conjuncture of those two fields. In this chapter we review the new understandings enabled by the 2005 Oxford Futures Forum conversations and the works of this volume. We then raise and discuss several methodological and conceptual issues that have surfaced in the various chapters.
