ABSTRACT

Diagnoses may be determined by physicians, physician assistants, and in many states, nurse practitioners. Diagnoses are methods used to identify, recognize, and/or analyze the cause or nature of a condition, situation, or problem. Clinicians utilize various techniques before making a final diagnosis. The extent of the diagnostic evaluation is dependent upon the extent and type of injury, and known or suspected pathology. Advances in technology have increased clinicians’ understanding of the human body and aid in identifying underlying pathology when it occurs.
