ABSTRACT
Thailand is one of the most active members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) with respect to negotiating bilateral, minilateral, and multilateral free trade agreements (FTAs). 2 Not only was Thailand one of the founding members of ASEAN in 1967, but it has also encouraged efforts to accelerate tariff elimination under the World Trade Organization (WTO) since 1994 and under the ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA) since 1995. 3
