ABSTRACT
This chapter focuses on four types of reich such as, The First Reich was that founded in AD 800 by Karl der Grosse, known to the West as Charlemagne, The Second Reich was destroyed in 1918, and the Weimar Republic was substituted for it, by the victorious foreigners, The Third Reich was destroyed in 1945, new political institutions were once more imposed on the Germans by victorious foreigners and the new, proud, united Germany, the nationalists will proclaim the Fourth Reich, for while the term Reich is associated with victory and periods of German ascendancy, Republik is associated with defeat and the ascendancy of alien values. It requires the rehabilitation of National Socialism and of Adolf Hitler, but so much the better from a German nationalist point of view: Germans have spent too long grovelling to foreigners about all that now Germany will get off its knees.
