ABSTRACT
Note: Three recent commercial gay-themed features from Thailand, and a video performance piece from Hong Kong, together served as the trigger for this text. The films are: The Last Song and Anguished Love, by Pisan Akkaraseni, and I Am a Man, by M. L. Panthewanop Thewakul. The latter is a sort of remake of the 1970 Hollywood sort of classic Boys in the Band. The video/performance Rooms of Desire was by Joseph Lau.
