ABSTRACT
Public Accounts Committees (PACs) oversee the spending of government ministries and institutions. In South Africa, the Association of PACs (APAC) is an association for South African PACs, and links these provincial and national committees together to pursue common goals and objectives. It creates a platform for the sharing of experiences between all institutions that are accountable to the legislative authorities of South Africa. APAC gets together each year, and invites representatives from other African PACs to its meetings.
