ABSTRACT
Why, and how much, did Canada contribute to the ISAF mission in Afghanistan? What are the motives that explain Canada's contribution to NATO's ISAF? And what form of operational adaptation, if any, was made during those deployments? These were the three main questions that the author of this chapter was tasked to examine in order to better allow an understanding as to why Canada either underperformed or overperformed in the ISAF mission.
