ABSTRACT
Tim Smith sat in his office and evaluated his first few months as junior consultant at the Central America Investment Institute (CAII) in Costa Rica. The course of events presented a trajectory that did not meet his job contract and expectations. In mid-2005, nearing the end of the sixth month of employment, Tim decided to analyze the situation and devise a plan for action.
