ABSTRACT
My memories of my early childhood are few, probably a function of having too few happy moments. My lack of memories may also be a result of my family being poor and not having a camera. There are only a few photographs of me or of the rest of my family during my early years, so there never were occasions in which old photos initiated discussions of past persons or events.
