ABSTRACT
The European Language Portfolio (ELP) is a personal learning companion and a reporting tool. It encourages learners to reflect on values, goals, learning paths and learning outcomes from a lifelong perspective. It promotes learner ownership and values language and intercultural competence gained within and outside of formal education. It helps to enable learners to take charge of their learning.
