CAD/CAM INSTRUCTORS WANTED STUDENTS who understood and appreciated in some deep sense the complex mix of opportunities and limitations that came with participating in and using CAD/CAM technologies. As Dr. West explained in an interview, it was important to cheer students on, or nurture them:
