ABSTRACT

In the analysis I present here of excerpts from the documentary Corporation: After Mr. Sam, I focus on the way the protagonists debate and settle one of the central issues among senior management depicted in the film—whether they should devise a new organizational structure prior to the advent of a new company president, or to wait for the new company president who would then decide whether, and how, to re-engineer the organization. Before going ahead with the analysis itself, there are two preliminary issues I want to address, one substantive and one methodological.
