ABSTRACT
Families and everyday life are tightly intertwined. Conversations within daily life frequently concern family occurrences, images, and stories that create the basis from which people learn their roles within families (e.g., Dixson, in this volume). From this talk, families create a discourse that is used to shape, understand, and transform their roles and expectations in the practice of family living.
