ABSTRACT

According to Nofsinger (1991): “The study of how interpersonal relationships are publicly achieved through conversation is still in its infancy…. But we can see enough of what future studies might reveal to get a sense of the nonobvious ways in which conversation constitutes—actually produces—the orderliness and interpersonal relationships of everyday life” (p. 165).
