ABSTRACT

SUMMARY. RSS is a syndication technology based on XML. RSS can be used for current awareness and as a SDI tool for clinicians and information professionals alike, delivering syndicated information as it becomes available from blogs, databases, and other online information sources. RSS can also be used to create dynamic content on health sciences library Web sites. With a great number of free tools available, RSS can be integrated into library services simply and seamlessly, enhancing library service offerings at extremely low cost to health sciences libraries. doi:10.1300/J115v26S01_04 [Article copies available for a fee from The Haworth Document Delivery Service: 1-800-HAWORTH.
