ABSTRACT

The research reported in this paper represents one among a series of projects by the researchers investigating bargaining in conflict situations. Over the past two and a half years the researchers have engaged in a series of studies investigating bargaining in conflict settings involving aspects of both cooperation and competition; that is, where cooperation is necessary for agreement, but where the interests of individual bargainers conflict as to the nature of this agreement. The research presented here is a continuation of this research stream in a context designed to simulate one particular type of interaction among bargainers in a triadic relationship.
