ABSTRACT

This introduction is due to Maurice Yolles and David Boje, who set out to not only overview the papers on organizational change and their mutual relationship in this part, but in doing so to set this into the context of complexity and chaos, and to show that there is a place where antenarrative theory can link with the sociological tradition of lifeworld and purposeful communications. This latter aspect also provides a modern addendum to the notions of Schutz and Luckmann (1974), and their interest in the knowledge content that arises with narrative that is relavent to organizational change
