ABSTRACT
This chapter looks at the concept of using project management to fulfil a client’s business objectives. Clients may be classified into public and private, profit and non-profit making. The term business case implies the need to justify a need. In this sense all categories of client will have a business case and this will define the client objectives in the context of the project. Construction projects are complex and expensive and need to justify the expenditure and need.
