ABSTRACT

They give people new to SFBT an immediate, experiential sense t or “flavour” of the work, different from what can be gained by learning solution-focused practice tools or from observing case examples. They can provide an initial grasp of the “flow” of solution-t focused conversation, an aspect that can be a particular challenge for beginning and intermediate SFBT students. Short formats such as this one can make solution-focused con-t versation (as opposed to less integrated use of solution-focused questions or tools) seem accessible and possible for many practitioners who work outside the therapy room: in business, in shelter and street work, in schools, etc.
