ABSTRACT

A couple of evenings before this therapy session, we’d had some friends round for dinner. One of the friends and Di, my wife, were talking about how easily they both cried and, firstly, how embarrassing it could be, and, secondly, how it could escalate the apparent seriousness of a situation when the tears suddenly came in the middle of an argument. Di coined the “diagnosis” of PWFSEFWFMPQFEFNPUJPOT or ODE.
