ABSTRACT

The aim of this chapter is to highlight a number of issues that are considered important in shaping thinking about university-school and school-system collaboration. It draws on our work in the Learning Improves in Networking Communities (LINC) projects that involved a number of organizations including the Faculty of Education, Monash University, the Catholic Education Offi ce, Melbourne (CEOM), national research institutions, and a number of Catholic secondary schools in Melbourne and regional Victoria, Australia, from 2001 to the present time. We use Slater’s Matrix to describe and critically discuss the complex dynamics of the multi-levels of collaboration within these projects over the past decade.
