ABSTRACT

Sustained implementation of programs in schools can be compromised by many factors, such as funding allocations, staff turnover, and new initiatives. Family–school partnership programs may be at higher risk of abandonment relative to other programs due to the cross-system coordinate required. Several frameworks offer guidance for sustaining family–school partnership programs. Initiating a focus on sustainment during adoption and initial implementation while attending to capacity building and flexibility and fit based on local contexts can facilitate sustained implementation of family–school partnership programs.
